Chicago-Kent Documentary Film Series on Race: "Of Civil Wrongs and Rights"

Event Description
In an effort to have meaningful discussions about race, join faculty, students and alumni for a film screening of "Of Civil Wrongs and Rights: The Fred Korematsu Story," followed by a discussion. The documentary examines one Japanese-American's long, remarkable journey from being a convicted criminal in 1942 to receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1998. Follow one man's journey for justice from his time in an internment camp to his desire to serve in the United States Army. Professor Vinay Harpalani will be the special guest speaker.
