Join us for the Palmer Prize lecture with Georgetown University Law Center professor Laura K. Donohue and Stanford Law School lecturer Jennifer Stisa Granick. The authors will present their award-winning books at a free public talk. To attend, RSVP online

For the first time since the Palmer Prize was inaugurated in 2007, two books were selected to receive the Chicago-Kent College of Law/Roy C. Palmer Civil Liberties Prize. Laura K. Donohue won for her book The Future of Foreign Intelligence: Privacy and Surveillance in the Digital Age (Oxford University Press 2016), and Jennifer Stisa Granick won for her book American Spies: Modern Surveillance, Why You Should Care, and What to Do About It (Cambridge University Press 2017).

Established in 2007 by Chicago-Kent alumnus Roy C. Palmer and his wife, Susan M. Palmer, the Palmer Prize honors exemplary works of scholarship exploring the tension between civil liberties and national security in contemporary American society. Learn more about the Palmer Prize.
