"Innovation Inc." - Chicago IP Colloquium

Event Description:
Professor Stephanie Plamondon Bair will present and discuss her paper Innovation Inc. at an upcoming Chicago Intellectual Property Colloquium speaker event. Professor Bair teaches Criminal Law, IP Colloquium, Law & Entrepreneurship Colloquium, Patent Law, and Trademark Law at BYU Law, where she is an associate professor. Her research focuses on mind sciences, innovation, and the law. Particularly, Professor Bair is interested in applying empirical work in psychology and neuroscience to current legal and policy challenges in intellectual property law, public health, criminal law, and other areas. 

Professor Bair received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Utah. Prior to joining BYU, Professor Bair was a fellow with Stanford’s Program in Neuroscience and Society. She also was a patent litigation attorney at Goodwin Procter in Boston and clerked for the Honorable Raymond C. Clevenger III on the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. 

This event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, 25 East Pearson Street (Corboy Law Center), Room 1403.
