"Placebo Marks" - Chicago IP Colloquium

Event Description:
The Chicago Intellectual Property Colloquium continues its spring 2017 speaker series with a discussion led by Professor Jake Linford of Florida State University College of Law. Professor Linford teaches Contracts, Copyright Law, Trademarks and Unfair Competition, and Current Topics in Intellectual Property. His scholarship interests include intellectual property and contract law. 

Professor Linford was previously with the Chicago law firm of Pattishall, McAuliffe, Newbury, Hilliard & Geraldson LLP, where he litigated copyright and trademark cases. He also clerked for the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Professor Linford will present his written work Placebo Marks at the Chicago IP Colloquium. This event is free and open to the public. The Chicago IP Colloquium is jointly sponsored by Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology and Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
